On the 20th March, the brig Zosteria, from London to Hartle- pool, in ballast, was observed in distress off this place while it was blowing a strong gale from E.N.E., accompanied by heavy rain. The Parsee life-boat was at once taken along the coast in the direction of the vessel. On arriving opposite her the boat was launched, and was fortunately success- ful in saving the crew of 6 men. The vio- lence of the gale afterwards drove the brig on the beach.
