Queen Victoria, of South Shields

On the 3rd De- cember, during a strong N.E. gale, the brig Queen Victoria, of South Shields, was totally wrecked on the Barnard Sand. The life-boat put off, and succeeded in saving one of the crew from the rigging. The remainder, 7 in number, had unhappily perished before the arrival of the boat..
