On the 5th June, whilst the life-boat on this station was returning after her quarterly exercise, the crew observed the schooner Hope, of Beau- maris, riding at anchor in a very perilous position in Cymmuran Bay. There was a gale of wind blowing at the time, and a heavy sea running. The life-boat bore down to the vessel, and succeeded in getting her out from her. dangerous position near the rocks. While assisting to raise the vessel's anchor, one of the life-boat men unfortunately had his arm broken..
