On the 16th May a sailor-boy, while endeavouring to reach his vessel, in Kedwharf Bay, in a boat from the shore, was driven out to sea by the strong ebb and high wind. The Moelfre life-boat was launched as soon as possible, and, after a long pull against wind and tide, succeeded in rescuing the lad from the boat, which was then at least 5 miles out at sea..
