On the 27th March, the smack Howard, of Grimsby, went ashore near the outer buoy, off Scar- borough. On the accident being seen from the shore, the Scarborough life-boat was im- mediately launched, and took off the only man on board the smack, the remainder of the crew being on shore at the time.
