On the 16th April, a fishing-boat was seen approaching the shore with signals of distress flying, her crew finding it impossible to make the land through the heavy surf. The Withemsea life-boat was at once launched to their help, and succeeded in bringing the boat and her crew of 3 men safely to land. The life- boat behaved exceedingly well on the occa- sion.
