Osprey, of Fraserburgh

On the 3rd of December, 1862, the schooner Osprey, of Fraserburgh, with a cargo of wheat from Rostock, struck on the Abertay Bank, the weather being foggy, with a strong gale blowing from the S.E. As soon as she was discovered the Buddon-ness life-boat was launched, and succeeded in rescuing the crew of 6 men, who were landed in safety.
