On the 21st December, during a heavy gale from N.N.E., the schooner Little Aggie, of Ber- wick, with a cargo of slates, got on shore at Hauxley. The life-boat stationed there was immediately transported to the scene of the wreck, and with much diffi- culty, from the force of wind and high sea, succeeded in rescuing the crew of 4 men, the vessel shortly afterwards becoming an entire wreck..
