On the 25th January the barque Bonnie Dundee, of Dun- dee, laden with coal, got on shore on the Newcome Sand, during a fresh gale with squalls from W.S.W. The Pakefield life- boat went off to her assistance, and on the vessel rilling and sinking, rescued and brought on shore her crew of 13 men.
