Peace, of London

On the 28th September, at 3 A.M., a small vessel, which proved to be the barge Peace, of London, was ob- served to have anchored in heavy broken water off the Camber coast-guard station, near Rye. The Camber life-boat was quickly launched, and proceeded to the aid of her crew, taking them off, 2 in number, and landing them in safety. The sea was break- ing over the vessel at the time, and she shortly after sank.
