On the! 6th December, the. brig Eliza, of Middlesboroxigh, was driven on the bar at the Tees' mouth. The Institution's life-boat at Seaton-Carew was soon launched, and proceeded through a high sea to the aid of her crew, 7 in number, all of whom she took off and landed in safety.
