Henry Morton of Sunderland

On the 10th December, at 8 P.M., the brig Henry Morton, of Sunderland, got on shore on the Sizewell Bank, there being a heavy surf on the bank at the time. The Institution's Thorpeness life-boat was launched, and went to the aid of her crew, who were about to attempt leaving in their own boat. These, 8 in number, were taken into the life-boat, and landed in safety ; their own boat being taken in tow, and upsetting in the surf on nearing the beach.
