Temperance, of Belfast

On the 4th January, at day- light, signals of distress were observed from three vessels ashore in Abergele Bay, North Wales. The life-boat proceeded as soon as possible to the spot and rescued the crew of 4 men from the schooner Temperance of Belfast; the crews of the other vessels having succeeded hi landing in their own boats. There was a heavy sea running at the time, and the life-boat was reported to have behaved admirably. This boat is on the tubular principle, invented by HENRY and HENRY T.- RICHARDSON, Esqrs., of Bala, North Wales.

In proceeding to the aid of the above vessel under sail, the Point of Ayr life-boat, which belongs to the Liverpool Dock Trustees, was upset, and drowned her whole crew of 13 men.
