Bembridge, Isle of Wight. — 26th August. A sailing boat had capsized, but her occupants were picked up by other boats. A donation was received from the owner.—Rewards, £4 13s.
The Humber, Yorkshire. — 27th October, 1939. An aeroplane was reported to have come down in the sea but the life-boat found nothing.— Permanent paid crew: Rewards, 9s.
MARCH 11TH. - BARRA ISLAND, HEBRIDES. An upturned boat had been reported, but was found to be a large log of timber. - Rewards, £7 5s.
SEPTEMBER 29TH. - ARKLOW, CO, WICKLOW. An aeroplane was reported to have come down in the sea off Cahore Point, but nothing was found. - Rewards, £15 8s. 6d.
